Prior to this he was the co-founder of MetaDimensions which developed and marketed a ground breaking Meta Data Repository providing seamless cross abstraction, classification and granularity searching, visualisation and designing of advanced information models like IBM's Financial Services Data Model (FSDM).
And prior to this he was the Chief Information Architect for MSP one of the first companies to successfully develop and market Data Dictionaries or Repositories. In this role he also liaised with IBM in its Repository/MVS product.
MSP was acquired by Allen Systems Group in 1998 who still sell its products under the brand label "Manager Software Products".
MetaDimensions was acquired by Informatica one of the world leaders in Data Warehousing technology in 1993.
Now basedin the Scottish Highlands, we are focussing on new spider technologies which crawl for quality and detail, mining web sites for locational information, automatically classifying and cataloguing site content and which are able to separately mine distinct subject matter from single pages based upon page structures.
This technology is already yielding major improvements in the quality and precision of searchable web information. It supports the highly accurate multiply qualified web searches and multi dimensional web browsing offered by METAm8 Repositories
